Rickerby Hand Tools

Micro Awl

The Micro Awl is modelled after an old awl I acquired with some old tools, the handle is very small and can neatly be tucked away under existing tools in your tool chest. I have mine under my Veritas wheel gauge, I reach for this quite often to mark guide points for brad bits and lathe centres.

Each awl is made to order, the handle is turned by hand on the lathe and the steel shaft is ground to a point using high speed steel. If you would like a different species of timber please message and I’ll see what I can do.

- Length approx 5 inches.
- Handle available in Ebony, English Boxwood, Bubinga & Bog Oak.
- HIgh speed steel freehand ground to a point.
- Solid brass ferrule.
- Peacock oil and Alfie Shine finish to aid longevity.
